ZIP Flap Technique

The Zygomatic Implant Perforated (ZIP) Flap technique was first described by Professor Butterworth & Professor Simon Rogers in 2017. The ZIP flap combines the use of zygomatic implants at the time of low-level maxillectomy together with a soft tissue flap to close the defect. The result for the patient is a closed maxillary defect and a fixed dental prosthesis all within weeks of surgery.
